Nerve-wracking
The atmosphere is palpable... Deep concentration, focus, determined gaze, excitement, motivation, nerves, the smell of a sports hall, sand, sweat.
The athletes are testing the starting blocks as the crowd streams in; the cheer squad, the group of friends looking for the best seats, homemade banners, the smell from the canteen. The indoor national track and field championships are about to begin.
The closer I get to the arena, the more I feel the solemn and tense atmosphere, everything they have trained for leading up to this, the fine margins, a dead plank, will the pole stay in place, the right steps, everything has to be spot on now, to reach the top. They are warming up before the competition begins. Who will stand at the top of the podium today?
Rollups
On the way up the stairs to the stands, the organiser has set up a roller banner for the Norwegian Athletics Federation. Roller banners are super simple products for marketing your business or organisation. Lightweight, easy to set up and pack away. We have roller banners made of aluminium, in all possible sizes. Tear-resistant and waterproof
The bib numbers are neatly lined up on the tables. Here, the competitors appear, one by one, to collect their bib numbers before the competition. It is important that these are both comfortable and barely noticeable for the competitors to wear, whilst also having to withstand rainwater, sweat, and rough treatment.
For that we have used tear-resistant and waterproof paper. There was a little rain to be seen inside the hall, but these bib numbers can take a beating outdoors too. Rain is no obstacle! Another product we print that is tear-resistant and waterproof, or Nevertear as it is also called, is accreditation passes. These also need to be robust and were therefore printed on the same type of material, on a paper that can withstand an active day both indoors and outdoors.
iBond
On the wall inside the hallway hang several large signs with sponsor logos. These signs are printed on white-lacquered Dibond panels, which have a matt aluminium surface. This surface avoids annoying reflections and provides a professional and clean look. The Dibond panel is constructed as a sandwich, with white-lacquered aluminium on the front and back. A lower amount of aluminium in the panel gives it a low weight while still maintaining its rigidity. The panels are easy to install, and they are also suitable for hanging outdoors. Adjustable Banner Wall
Following the competition, it is time for the prize-giving ceremony. Behind the podium stands the press wall featuring all the sponsor logos. This time, NFIF has only ordered the banner from us, as the stand is reused from last year. This is a telescopic wall which can therefore be packed away and put into an included bag. We are very pleased with this clever solution; not only is it easy to handle, store, and assemble, but it also gives our customers an opportunity to save both money and the environment because it is reusable.
Can you guess who the athletes are?
During the championship, there is a competition involving T-shirt printing. Three athletes are combined into one; Who manages to guess who these athletes are? There are some amusing suggestions, but also some who manage to guess all three on the first attempt! Nice, useful merch-premier is given away, a super nice way to make the business more visible among the public.
